While You’re Asleep, I’m Coding!

What are you doing at 6AM on a Saturday morning? Sleeping? Well, I’ve been coding! Why? Because I can’t sleep past 5:30-6AM, no matter what time I go to bed. If I hit the club, and come in at 2AM, yep, I’m back up at 6AM. I think it’s partly to do with me having ColdFusion on the brain. I usually have some ideas I want to flesh out, in code, or on the screen.

The crew from work invited me to go with them to the new Batman movie last night – “The Dark Knight”. Thanks for the invite – I had fun guys!

On a side note, it’s kind of strange when you go out with CF folk. See, I’m not used to being surrounded by people that know and understand what I do. It’s like, you’re usually incognito, unappreciated, not understood, solo-in-thoughts-of-ColdFusion. And I’m talking about the general public. Just somethin’ I think about sometimes.

My movie review on Batman? I didn’t think it met the hype surrounding it. It was OK, but I couldn’t become emotionally-invested in the movie. I guess that’s what I’m after when I go to a movie. That’s what I look for in a good movie.

1. Do I even care what happens to the characters?
2. Does it stir my emotions?
3. Do I care what happens next?

If the movie doesn’t meet those criteria, I don’t like the movie. Maybe I’m wrong, maybe I sound girly, but that’s how I see it.
